Description
Join me at Achnaha Woods for a creative walk and weave workshop. We’ll begin with a gentle stroll through the woods to forage fresh foliage and flowers, discussing what makes the best materials and why.
Next, you’ll learn how to weave your findings onto a hoop using ‘scalloming’ – a traditional willow basketry technique. It will be used here as a beautifully versatile way to dry flowers and herbs upside-down, ensuring your creations hold together perfectly as they dry at home.
Have a garden of abundance? Feel free to bring along your own blooms to incorporate! Please bring a pair of secateurs if you have them – there will be a few spares but not enough for everybody.
